As we embark on a new and exciting chapter in Sports Tours International’s history with the purchase of Sports Travel International and the continuous growth across of the business, we are now recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join our Finance team due to an internal move. The Finance Assistant will be responsible for mainly purchase ledger tasks such as invoice processing, matching invoices to purchase orders, reconciliation of supplier statements and generating payment run proposals along with some basic sales ledger tasks as requested such as invoice raising and credit control. The current Finance team consists of three people and is going through the process of implementing a new accounting system, Sage 200. The ideal candidate will be accurate, interpersonal and motivated individual who is open to change as the business continues to grow with a willingness to take on some further responsibilities as opportunities arise. For the 2019 season we will be recruiting for outgoing, sports-minded individuals who are able to work on our overseas cycling events as bike mechanic. We are looking for someone with Cytech or similar qualifications. Even though qualifications are important, for us experience is equally important so get in touch if you have worked with a team, in a shop or at your cycling club. Please note that this is only casual work so only a few times a year, in line with the dates of our various events. Sports Tours International manages a number of sports events in the Manchester and Liverpool area, such as the City of Manchester 10k, the City of Salford 10k and the Aintree Grand 10k. We are always in need of Volunteer Marshalls to help with the events and to cheer on competitors, whilst enabling them to compete in a safe environment.
