The Man with the Golden Number!
Fred, who competed in the original Tour of Tameside five times, commented: “The Tour of Tameside is a tough challenge but it doesn’t matter how fast you are – if you take part in each stage of the Tour you could have the lucky golden number. It’s great to see so many people fundraising for charity and I’ve introduced the golden number to support those running for good causes.”
Runners who take on all four days will cover the distance of one and a half marathons, with each day covering different routes and types of terrain across a mixture of closed roads, trails and country routes.
It was a wild weekend at the Marathon du Mont Blanc. Sadly the weather closed in and put paid to some events but a number of our runners completed the full marathon around Europe’s highest peak. Congratulations to everyone on a mega achievement 🏔
