The route of the 2021 Tour de France was unveiled in Paris on November 1, 2020. As premium VIP Tour Operators of ‘La Grande Boucle’, Sports Tours International offers the biggest selection of tours with VIP access and daily Hospitality Experiences.
We already knew that the 108th edition of the Tour de France will start on Saturday 6th July from Brest in Brittany. There will be 4 stages fully within Brittany followed by an individual time trial with a finish in Laval near Rennes. After Brittany, the route takes us into the Pays de La Loire before entering the Alps with a stage finish and start near beautiful Annecy. After the first rest day in Tignes, we then head out of the Alps into Provence and we’ll return to the legendary Mont Ventoux. The riders will tackle the Mont Ventoux twice before a downhill finish into Malaucene.
Both Nimes and Carcassonne will have a start and a finish before we head into the mountains. The Tour makes its only trip abroad into Andorra with a finish, a rest day and a stage start. We then spend quite a bit of time in the Pyrenees where the Tourmalet features again. We will be staying in the town of Bagneres de Bigorre at the foot of the Tourmalet which is perfectly located for all stages. The deciding individual time trial takes place near Bordeaux. The Tour will have its traditional finish in Paris on Sunday 18 July.
We are a Premium VIP Tour Operator of the Tour de France. As Europe’s leading travel partner for Le Tour, we have unrivalled experience of La Grande Boucle. Sports Tours have been operating our TDF tours for over twenty years. With us you will find the biggest selection of tours and experiences and the best value for money.
On our weekend trip, we stay in Morlaix near Roscoff so easy for access from the UK and Ireland. On this trip, you’ll enjoy the Village Depart on the first stage from Brest before catching the finish of that first day in Landerneau as well. The highlight comes on Stage 2 where you’ll not only see the rider’s of the men’s peloton come past twice on the Mur de Bretagne, you’ll also see the women during La Course by Le Tour de France. You’ll see them a whopping 6 times!
On our Grand Depart Tour, you’ll enjoy the same first few days as our weekend trip but instead of returning to Morlaix on Sunday evening, you’ll come with us to Rennes. On Monday we’re taking a day off from the Tour for a day trip to Mont Saint Michel or the option to join us for a guided ride in this beautiful part of France. The day after, we will ride on the route, on closed roads and cross under the official finish line just hours ahead of the TDF peloton. After we’ve done this, we’ll take photos on the winners’ podium in Fougeres. Have a look here to see what it’s like. After getting changed out of your cycling gear at the tour bus, we’ll have access to the Izoard Finish Hospitality venue.
On Wednesday 30 June, you can either depart or stay with us for the first ITT with a finish in Laval near Rennes. Hospitality, transport and another night in Rennes are included if you stay another night with us.
After Brittany, the Tour enters the French department of Pays de La Loire famous for its castles and wineries. First up is an individual time trial between Change and Laval (near Rennes). After this a flat stage for the sprinters between Tours and Chateauroux.
Stay 3 nights in the beautiful lake side location of Annecy for our weekend trip to the Alps. During this official Tour de France weekend you will see the riders of the 2021 Tour de France finish in Le Grand Bornand. One of the highlights is our Cross the Finish experience today where you’ll cycle on the route and cross under the finish in Le Grand Bornand. You will also see the riders come past from the Relais Etape Hospitality area the next day on the stage to Tignes. Exclusive Tour de France hospitality and transport is included in your trip. During this weekend, cyclists will have the opportunity to ride the Col de Romme, Col de La Colombiere, Le Grand Bornand and Cormet de Roselend.
Five years after a windy visit, the Tour returns to the Giant of Provence. Mont Ventoux has recently become a Regional Natural Parc and the local authorities have done lots of work to improve the road surfaces. This is an extra special visit as the riders will climb the mountain twice. Once from Bedoin and once from Sault which is very rare on the Tour. The finish will come after a hair-raising descent in Malaucene.
Stay 3 nights in Bedoin, at the foot of Mont Ventoux and watch the riders come past from the comfort of exclusive Tour de France VIP hospitality. Arrive on the rest day and the following day you have the option to come with us to Valence and watch the stage finish (hospitality available at a supplement) or ride the Mont Ventoux yourself today! On Ventoux stage day we’ll enjoy the stage from the hospitality area. On departure day you can join us for the Village Depart in Saint Paul Trois Chateaux (optional) before resuming your onward journey.
This tour combines our Annecy trip with our Mont Ventoux trip. In addition to the rides during our Annecy weekend, you can also ride the Alpe d’Huez on the rest day plus Mont Ventoux on Stage day. After the Annecy Weekend, you’ll stay with us for a few more days to extend your tour into the Provence. You will stay in Bedoin at the foot of Mont Ventoux.
Both Nimes and Carcassonne host both a start and a finish on the 2021 Tour de France. Both stage finishes look likely to be bunch sprints so we can expect a battle between Sam Bennett, Caleb Ewan, Pascal Ackermann and Dylan Groenewegen.
Our Tour to ride and watch the Pyrenean mountains stages of the 2021 Tour de France is combined with the opportunity to ride the Col du Tourmalet and enjoy stage hospitality on the 3 stages. We have managed to get an excellent hotel in Bagneres de Bigorre at the foot of the Tourmalet and near to the stages. We are excellently located for stage access without having to move hotels. Exclusive VIP access is included on all 3 Pyrenean mountain stages. For those bringing bikes you will be able to ride famous Pyrenean climbs like the Col du Peyresourde, Col de Val Louron Azet, Tourmalet, Luz Ardiden.
On this weekend trip you will stay 3 nights in the centre of Bordeaux. You will see the riders of the Peloton as they make their way into wine country. Izoard Finish Hospitality in Libourne and Relais Etape in St Emilion on the final ITT stage are included. Transport to and from the hospitality areas from the hotel is also included.
We all remember the incredible scenes at last year’s Tour de France where Tadej Pogacar had the ride of his life and beat fellow countryman Roglic to take Yellow. In 2021 there will be another time trial. This time it’s a relatively long effort at over 30 kilometres between Libourne and Saint Emilion.
This week long tour combines the Pyrenees, Bordeaux plus the final day in Paris. The Pyrenean stages will provide us with a sort out of the General Classification with some big climbs on the menu like the Tourmalet. Late drama could well decide the winner on the final Time Trial near Bordeaux. You’ll take the TGV from Bordeaux to Paris where we’ll transport you to our hotel in the centre of Paris from where you can walk across to the Champs Elysees. To make your day in Paris more special, we also offer hospitality experiences.
As tradition dictates, the final day will be in Paris. Stay in our hotel in the centre of Paris, within walking distance of the Champs Elysees. On the Champs Elysees we have official hospitality and grandstand seats available for you to enjoy. Have a look at our options here
Please refer to the travel package description to see exactly what is included with each tour
