As we approach the holiday season, we wanted to reach out to you with best wishes for the new year. We’d also like to share some very exciting news about what’s happening at the New York Marriott Marquis in 2020. We have already begun dramatic guest room renovations and several hundred rooms have been completed. In 2020 we have major plans for a transformation and reimagination of the hotel’s entire 8th floor, which includes the Front Desk and our restaurants and bars. We’ll introduce new culinary concepts, with a brand new M Club Lounge, which will make its debut on the 8th floor in an entirely redesigned space.
While this transformation should not affect your contracted meeting space or guest rooms blocked, it is a major transformation of the 8th floor. As such, there are some public areas that will be modified while this is taking place. We wanted you to be aware of these temporary changes, to guide you accordingly. More importantly, we want to insure smooth transitions and the success of your entire event.
Here are some of the changes that will occur in 2020:
In March, the Front Desk and Reception will make a temporary move to the 3rd floor, while the new Front Desk space is being created on the 8th floor
The entire 8th floor, including Broadway Lounge and Crossroads, will be closed starting June 20 –while undergoing this transformation.
Breakfast and lunch will be available on the hotel’s 48th floor, at The View Lounge.
The View Lounge and The View Restaurant will continue service as usual, every evening.
Our Fresh Bites menu will continue normal operations; as will our Starbucks at street level.
The FedEx Office will be relocated permanently to the 7th floor.
We will of course provide personal directional assistance and signage to assist our guests in moving throughout the hotel, for their comfort and convenience. We will continue to work closely with you to apprise you of any changes along the way. Again, our purpose is to insure that you and your group have a great experience and successful event at the New York Marriott Marquis.
