Join us in Copenhagen and take on the first road stage of the 2022 Tour de France!
The 2022 Tour de France will begin in Copenhagen, Denmark, hosting a total of three stages. You’ll have the chance to take on the first road stage of the Tour de France, just one day ahead of the pros on Friday 1 July. Leaving from from city of Roskilde, this 183km flat, coastal route will take in the beautiful fjords Inderbredning, Holbæk Fjord and Lammefjord, before finishing at the foot of the Great Belt Fixed Link bridge.
Thursday 30th June 2022
The event begins once you arrive at the hotel, close to Copenhagen airport. You’ll check in and have time to relax before we gather for the jersey presentation and pre-ride dinner.
Friday 1st July 2022
Ride Day. There will be an early morning coach transfer from our hotel to the start line in the city of Roskilde, 40km west of Copenhagen. Here we’ll set off at approx. 7am, allowing 10 hours to complete the ride. Once riders reach the finish line at the foot of the Great Belt Fixed Link bridge in the town of Korsør, there will be a coach transfer back to our accommodation base in Copenhagen. The celebrations will then begin that evening at the post-ride dinner.
Saturday 2nd July 2022
Breakfast will be served, before we say farewell to riders. There will be an option for riders to extend their stay to include the Saturday night and make the most of the opening weekend of the Tour
