Duration: 4 days, 3 nights Distance: 160km
During August Bank Holiday weekend in 2018 the 3rd edition of one of the toughest amateur cycling events you can do, the Marmotte Gran Fondo Pyrenees, will take place. The formula is the same as the Marmotte in the Alps with slightly less distance but more climbing; 160km with 5,500m of climbing.
The route takes in both sides of the Tourmalet(2,115m), the Hourquette d’Ancizan (1,564m) and the Col d’Aspin (1,489m) before the final climb up to Luz Ardiden(1,666m).
