After breakfast, please make your way to the EXPO and registration area in Nice where you will be able to register for the Etape du Tour.

We offer guaranteed entry into the Etape du Tour at a price of £150 if booked with a travel package or £250 as ‘entry only’ without a travel package. Don’t forget that you need a medical certificate to take part in the Etape du Tour – We offer an Online medical certification service – More information here

We anticipate a 07:00/08:00 start for the Etape, so we have organised early breakfasts at all hotels so you can get to the start early to ensure everyone is lined up in the right pens for the start. The organisers allocate pens according to likely finish time and historic Etape performance, therefore faster riders start nearer the front and the slower riders at the back. Please note, we have no influence over your starting pen. The Etape du Tour is a closed road sportive. There will be water stops en-route and mechanical assistance provided by MAVIC. Along the route, there are certain times that you must have passed certain spots.

Sports Tours International food and assistance points

Especially for Sports Tours international riders there will be additional food and assistance points on the route which give you better access than at the normal feed stops. Many of our riders actually use just our feed stops and avoid the official ones. On the 2021 Etape du Tour we will provide 2 private feed stations.

After breakfast, we will transport you to Bedoin. We expect the transfer to take 3 hours.

We are staying at the Hotel des Pins. We will spend 3 nights in Bedoin on half board basis so with breakfasts and evening meals included.  This evening we will take the opportunity to go through the programme of the 2021 Tour de France trip. This is also a good opportunity to get to know your fellow group members.

We offer two options today. You can either join us on our guided ride around Mont Ventoux or you can join us for Izoard Hospitality at the finish of today’s Tour de France stage in Valence (additional cost).

We are in Bedoin, at the foot of Mont Ventoux so today we will ride this mountain directly from the hotel. During the ride, we will support you with our minibus. During the day, we will provide you with snacks and drinks at regular intervals.

Izoard Finish Hospitality in Valence available at £200 per person including transport

In addition to your package with us, we offer you the option to book Izoard Finish Hospitality in  Valence with us today. The journey is nearly 2 hours to Valence. If you book Finish Hospitality with us then we provide the transport.

Izoard finish line hospitality

The Tour de France sets up a limited number of areas located on course within the final portion of the stage. These have names like Tourmalet, Izoard and Galibier. Access to these areas is reserved and by invitation only. You will see famous ex-cyclists, sponsors and team guests. Typically these areas are within 200 metres or so of the finish line. There is also a spectator friendly elevated viewing area. You will be served with drinks and snacks and there is a big screen to watch the LIVE action as it unfolds. After watching the finish, you will celebrate the victory with Champagne.

Early evening, we return to Bedoin and you can enjoy the hotel and its surroundings. This evening we will have the evening meal at the hotel.

Today the riders will tackle the legendary Mont Ventoux. They will take on two sides of the mountain before a downhill finish in Malaucene. This entire area will be buzzing with Tour de France activity and there will be crowds along the entire route up the mountain. One of the best places to enjoy today will be the Izoard Finish Hospitality Venue. This is a full afternoon hospitality experience that includes drinks and snacks. You will be able to follow the stage as it happens on TV plus you will have live race viewing from a comfortable spot.

Depending on the exact location of the Izoard, you’ll be able to join us on our guided ride today in the morning with the Izoard venue as our destination.

Today the riders of the Tour de France will start from nearby Saint Paul Trois Chateaux with Nimes as their destination. We offer you the option to take our transfer at 09.00 from the hotel to either Avignon train station or Marseille Airport.

We expect to get to Avignon at 10.00 and at Marseille at 11.30/ 12.00 so please make onward travel arrangements from there.

Please make sure that you check out of the hotel and bring your luggage with you today. After yesterday’s Mont Ventoux stage, today’s start will take place at about 13.30 from Saint Paul Trois Chateaux with a finish in Nimes. From Bedoin it’s just 1 hour to Saint Paul. After the Village Depart, we’ll give you the option to be dropped off in Avignon at the train station or at Marseille Airport.

Village Depart – £125

The 2021 Tour de France entourage and organisation travel around with the riders. The team buses park within an enclosed and restricted area. An expo type village is created at the start of each one of the stages. It is usually here that everyone who is linked in any way to the Tour de France like TV, sponsors and celebrities from the cycling world will show themselves. Also local companies will be keen to show off their wares. Your VIP passes will give you access to the village and the rider’s paddock. If you are into collecting autographs, this is the best place for it.

09:00 – departure from the hotel
10:30 – Opening of the Tour de France Village
11:30 – Departure of the Caravan and arrival of the riders in the Teams car park
12:30 – Beginning of the presentation of the riders on the signature podium
13:30 – The stage starts
13:40 – Closing of the Tour de France Village

Onward travel

We expect to be able to leave Saint Paul from 14.00. From there it’s one hour to Avignon and a further hour to Marseille with estimated arrival times therefore at 15.00 in Avignon at the train station and at 16.30/ 17.00 at Marseille airport. Please book your onward travel arrangements in line with these timings.
