The seaside resort of Cervia on Italy’s popular and prestigious Emilia- Romagna coast is known as the “city of salt,”not only for its past industrial interests, but also for its delicate, fine, white, sand and the shallow water of its beaches. In the 1800s, Cervia became an important tourist destination, and in 1912, the garden city of Milano Maritttima was created, quickly becoming one of the most glamorous seaside towns in Italy. The area, not only features outstanding natural beauty, but has a long history of sports and culture, which should ensure an electric atmosphere during the annual busy weekend of triathlon racing.
It was a wild weekend at the Marathon du Mont Blanc. Sadly the weather closed in and put paid to some events but a number of our runners completed the full marathon around Europe’s highest peak. Congratulations to everyone on a mega achievement 🏔
