Owing to the growing popularity of triathlon, Club La Santa now brings you the first Women’s Only Triathlon Training Camp. The camp offers you a great opportunity to kick start your winter training in preparation for the 2009 race season or even introduce you to the sport of triathlon in a warm climate and magnificent surroundings.
The camp caters for all abilities, from novice to elite, suitable for all athletes looking to build their base training, learn more about the sport and gain experience. The maximum number of participants will be limited to 40 places to enable more individual attention in all four disciplines (swim, bike, run & transition).
The training
Swims will take place in the 50m Olympic pool and the Club La Santa lagoon (a closed off area of sea). The runs will be both on and off road around the complex as well as on the Club La Santa athletics track. The bike rides will take you to the most beautiful parts of the island on newly tarmac surfaces. The week will start with a welcome meeting and end with a dinner in the restaurant “La Casa”. Companions are welcome to join us for the dinner by paying 24 € for the 3 course meal and a ½ bottle of wine. Remember to bring your swim equipment and wet suit; if you don’t own a wetsuit there may be provision to borrow one and swim equipment can be hired from Club La Santa free of charge. Bring your own bike if possible or you can rent one for the week (subject to availability), but remember to bring bike shoes, pedals and a helmet; no helmet – no ride. Contact your agent or Club la Santa for more information on bike hire.
