2012 Virgin Active London Triathlon 

Want to take part in the largest triathlon in the World? Well here is your chance to get your name down for the 2012 London Triathlon.

As the official travel partner of IMG we have some fantastic triathlon packages for the 2012 Virgin Active London Triathlon which takes place on the 22nd and 23rd September 2012. Our triathlon accommodation packages can include guaranteed race entry into the London Triathlon, which is the largest triathlon in the world with more than 15,000 competitors taking part in 2011.

In 2012, due to the timing of the London 2012 Olympics, the race weekend of the 2012 London Triathlon is moving to late September.  On Saturday 22nd September there will be the Super Sprint, Sprint, the Team Sprint and the Team Olympic events, whereas on the Sunday there will be the Olympic distance events there will be the individual Olympic events, including the elites racing and the Olympic Plus event.

Let Sports Tours International take care of all the details so you just focus on swimming, cycling and running around London’s most famous landmarks. We have secured entry slots and hotel accommodation right at the event site so you wont need to worry about getting lost in traffic or road and rail closures on your way to transition.  And remember that you can’t take your bike on the Dockland Light Railway!

London Triathlon Event Info and Start Times

Exact start times will be posted once they are confirmed - this is usually a couple of months before the event itself.  Racing on Saturday usually starts at 11:00 and on Sunday it is 06:30 (Times are TBC).

On the Saturday, it is the:

• Super Sprint
• Sprint
• Team Relay Sprint
• Team Relay Olympic

On the Sunday is the:

• Olympic
• Olympic Plus, which has a longer bike section in it.

Included in your Basic travel package are:

• 2 nights accommodation at the Etap Hotel London City on room only basis staying on the nights of 21st and 22nd September.

Not included (not exhaustive)

• Any travel to the hotel.
• Any meals and drinks.
• Any extras at your accommodation.
• Triathlon race Entry fee (see options)
• Travel Insurance - highly recommended.

At time of booking we require a non-refundable deposit per person plus any applicable entry fee. The balance of your travel package must be paid, at the latest, 12 weeks before departure to avoid the cancellation of your trip.
