Triathlon de l'Alpe d'Huez
28 Jul 2008 to 01 Aug 2008In conjunction with Tri247.com, Sports Tours are pleased to bring you this, the first in our Iconic Triathlon Race Series.
The third edition of the Triathlon de l’Alpe d’Huez will take place from the 27 to the 31 July 2008. Following on from their success in 2006 and 2007, Triathlon organisers Cyrille Neveu and Eric Le Pallemec are once again presenting this amazing triathlon. Set in one of the most famous of locations, and featuring a cycle climb of the world famous Alpe d’Huez, with its 21 bends, and almost 8 miles of relentless climbing with over 3,000 feet of ascent. Not for the faint hearted, or weak willed.
With a swim in the beautiful EDF du Verney Lake in Vaujany, and the Alpe in the background (reminding you constantly of what is to come), this is probably one of the most beautiful locations for a triathlon in Europe.
With distances to suit all ages and experience levels, this is the perfect start to our Iconic Race Series.
