This is a new event for Sports Tours International, but we're delighted to offer you the chance to take part in the Indian Ocean Triathlon (sometimes refered to as the Ocean Indian Triathlon) - one of the most beautiful triathlons in the world.
Open to all levels, the course offers breathtaking views of the south of Mauritius Island, tropical scenery and coastal roads. There's also a mini triathlon for your other half!
But it's not just for sightseers, because the Indian Ocean Triathlon attracts some of the best triathletes out there.
In 2011, the starting line of the Indian Ocean Triathlon contained:
- Frederic Belaubre (France) - 3 time European champion and 5 time French champion. Also a potential 2012 Olympic medalist
- Thomas Hellriegel (Germany) - Hawaii Ironman winner and bike record holder until 2008
- Charlotte Morel (France) - bronze medalist at the French Elite Championships.
Frederic Belaubre won the men's event, with Charlotte Morel winning the ladies to make it a French double.
