Following on from their success in previous years, Triathlon organisers Cyrille Neveu and Eric Le Pallemec are once again presenting this amazing triathlon, in association with IMG and Sports Tours International.

The Race

Set in one of the world's most famous sporting locations, the race features a cycle climb of the infamous Alpe d'Huez, with its 21 bends, and almost 8 miles of relentless climbing with over 3,000 feet of ascent. Not for the faint hearted or weak willed. You will be staying at a quality 3 star Hotel on a Half Board basis on the Alpe. 

With a swim in the beautiful EDF du Verney Lake in Vaujany, and the Alpe in the background (reminding you constantly of what is to come), this is probably one of the most beautiful locations for a triathlon in Europe.

The long course event on Wednesday consists of a 2.2km swim; a 115km cycle and a 21.9km run (3 laps of 7.3km).

The short course event on Thursday consists of a 1.2km swim, a 30km cycle and a 7.3km run.

TRAVEL PACKAGE

Monday 23rd July - fly into Geneva Airport.  We plan to have a coach transfer at 15:00 to Alpe d'Huez (not included in the basic price), where we are staying.  This may alter according to the arrival times of the majority of the group.  We are staying at a centrally located hotel, the Bruyeres on dinner, bed and breakfast basis.

Tuesday 24th July - Free day to build your bike and register for the event.  It is a good opportunity to explore the local area and prepare for the Alpe d'Huez triathlon.

Wednesday 25th July - the day of the long course Alpe d'Huez triathlon.

Thursday 26th July - the day of the short course Alpe d'Huez triathlon.

Friday 27th July - after breakfast we will leave the hotel at 09:00 to take you back to Geneva Airport, to connect with flights departing after 14:00.

What is included?

• 4 nights half board accommodation (breakfast and dinner).

Prices

£279 per person, based on 2 people sharing a twin or double room. 

£249 per person, based on 3 people sharing a triple room.

Single room supplement is £112.50 (Based on sole occupancy of a twin or double room)

Return transfer to/ from Geneva is £50 (15h00 on arrival day and early morning on departure day)

Entry fees - you must have a valid triathlon licence and present it at race registration to be allowed the promotional prices below.  Please note, prices are scheduled to increase from 1/2/12, so please book before this date.

Long course - £159 for triathlon licence holders; £245 for non-licence holder.

Short course - £41 for triathlon licence holders; £78 for non-licence holders.

At time of booking we require a non-refundable deposit of £100 per person plus any applicable entry fee. The balance of your travel package must be paid, at the latest, 12 weeks before departure to avoid the cancellation of your trip.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Visas are not required to enter France. You need a passport to enter France. As a British passport holder you may stay as a visitor for three months. For links to important websites, click here.  All other non-UK passport holders must check their own country's entry requirements for France.
