Bristol Hash House Harriers
Bristol Hash are a social running group – one of thousands in the world-wide (very loose) federation of Hash House Harriers.
Hashing is an enjoyable way to keep moderately fit. More specifically, it’s sociable jogging for runners of any standard. Runs are typically 3-4 miles, and follow a trail laid by one or more “hares”. Hashing is for everyone, from the fit to the walkers, travels together. Above all, we don’t take ourselves too seriously. If you’d like to try Hashing, just turn up at one of the runs.

The Club – Founded in 1988. A jogging club to start with but over the years we have progressed to a full athletic and running club. We have a membership of around 70 people split evenly between Men and Ladies and the ages of 16 and 65 years. We have a thriving Senior and Veteran section who compete in various Track & Field leagues and the Essex Cross Country League. However, many members still prefer Road Races and Endurance Races. There is also a well established Walking Section and the cycling section should you prefer something different. All standards are always welcome – It doesn’t matter whether you’re fast, slow, large or small, we’ll look after you.
What do I do next? – What we basically suggest is try us out and see if its what you are looking for before becoming a member. Contact us via our website www.dagenham88runners.com
