The Paris Marathon is one of the highlights of the running calendar and with it now being closed to online entries, we are delighted to be able to offer you a place in the event.
Starting on the Avenue Champs Elysee, you will run past many of the famous sights of Paris, inlcuding the Place de La Concorde, the Musee de Louvre, the Bastille, Musee d’Orsay and the Eiffel Tower, before finishing on Avenue Foch.
Our hotel is in a good position for reaching the start of the race, plus returning afterwards, and it is also nearby the start of the Breakfast Run on the Saturday morning from the front of the Ecole Militare at 8.30am.

VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE
All events in France require you to present a medical certificate from your doctor with your entry stating that ‘There is no contra indication to “YOUR NAME” taking part in a marathon, you will need to produce this certificate in Paris at the Expo to pick up your race number. You can download a typical example of a medical certificate which is acceptable in France by clicking here. The running expo at Parc des Expositions de Paris/Porte de Versailles is open Thursday 12th April 3 PM to 8 PM, Friday 13th April 10 AM to 8 PM and Saturday 14th April 9 AM to 8 PM.
TRAVEL PACKAGE
For our Runners World travel package to the Paris Marathon, we are staying at the very good Mercure hotel near to the Eiffel Tower on bed and breakfast basis. It is a very good standard of hotel and has many of the standard features you expect from a central city hotel, such as satellite tv amongst many other features. You have the option of making your own way to Paris.
2 Nights hotel only arriving on April 14th. Twin/Double room = £235 per person based on 2 people sharing. Single room is £425 per person.
Entry Fee £125 per person. This also includes a t shirt, medal and certificate for all Paris Marathon finishers.
Included in the package price:
- Continental breakfast.
- 2 nights accommodation at the Mercure Hotel.
- Services of Sports Tours International representatives.
Not included in the package price:
- Transfers in Paris.
- Race entry fee.
- Travel / medical insurance.
- Travel to Paris itself.

At time of booking we require a non-refundable deposit of £100 per person, plus the full Race Entry Fee, which is non-returnable once booked. The balance of your travel package must be paid, at the latest, 12 weeks before departure to avoid the cancellation of your trip.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Visas are not required to enter France. You need a passport or a National Identity Card (see the website of the Identity and Passport Service (IPS)) to enter France. As a British passport holder or National Identity Card holder you may stay as a visitor for three months. For links to important websites, click here.
