The Berlin Marathon is one of the World Marathon Majors and holds the world marathon record time. Each year, the Berlin marathon becomes more popular as a destination for those seeking to set their own fastest marathon time.

This year the world’s fastest runner is to run the BMW Berlin marathon! The 2011 Boston Marathon winner Geoffrey Mutai of Kenya, who completed the Boston marathon in just 2:03:02, will be taking part.

Travel Package

We are using an excellent 4 star hotel, the Hotel President, in central Berlin for our Berlin Marathon package and we have reserved the best, upgraded rooms in the hotel for you. The Presidential Club is known as ‘hotel in a hotel’ with a higher standard of facilities and additional services including a room safe, bathrobe, and a beauty set. The quietly situated and exclusive rooms are elegantly and functionally furnished, including an extra large desk, flat screen TV, computer and fax connection, free wifi, comfortable leather chairs, and an individually adjustable air conditioning. Presidential Club guests take their breakfast in the exclusive club lounge, with a winter garden and roof terrace overlooking the city of Berlin, giving you an air of relaxation before you take on the BMW Berlin Marathon.

Also included within your Runner World Travel Collection package is the use of the hotel fitness area, including a sauna, steam room and spa physiotherm for free.

ITINERARY

Saturday 29th Sept: Take part in the International Friendship Run, support or participate in the Inline Skate Marathon (Optional) or day free for sightseeing

Sunday 30th Sept: BMW Berlin Marathon Race Day

Monday 1st Oct: Part day free for sightseeing, before leaving Berlin.

2012 Prices: £429 per person, based on two people sharing a twin or double room. £699 for a single room.

2012 prices are less than 2011!!

Note: we allow shares in the twin, so if you want to keep the cost down by sharing with another runner, then please select this option.

BMW Berlin Marathon Race entry fee £69 does not include timing chip £6 this will be added to your invoice unless you have your own chip or finishers T shirt £20 (Optional) indicate at time of booking.

At time of booking we require a non-refundable deposit, plus the full Race Entry Fee, which is non-returnable once booked. The balance of your travel package must be paid, at the latest, 12 weeks before departure to avoid the cancellation of your trip.

Important Information

Visas are not required to enter Germany. You need a passport or a National Identity Card (see the website of the Identity and Passport Service (IPS)) to enter Germany. As a British passport holder or National Identity Card holder you may stay as a visitor for three months. General Travel Information is also available.
