Marathon Running Camp with Dr Ron Hill MBE, Stephen Vuckovic, Phil Price & Team

Marathon Running Training Camp
Please note, the information below relates to the 2013 training camp. We will update with the details of 2014 shortly.
The Marathon Running Camp gives you the chance to sample the challenging terrain of the volcanic island of Lanzarote. Both the undulating terrain and sandy trails are a good base for training athletes competing in one of the spring or summer marathons. This camp is also useful for those wanting to focus on the endurance phase of training for short distance races. Once again, we will be joined by legendary runner, Dr Ron Hill MBE who will give you his advice and tips on running.
The training
Athletes able to run up to a 4:15 marathon will be catered for and we will have experienced coaches and athletes looking after you. You can see from the programme that we will arrange a variety of runs, one of which will be on the small nearby island of La Graciosa. Additionally, there will be some technical work, track sessions and optional races.
There will also be lectures and at the end of the week, we will have a dinner in the restaurant, La Casa, where companions can join us by paying 26€ for a 3 course meal and a half bottle of wine.
As well as the running we will be offering you some alternative methods of improving your fitness and technique on land and in the pool.
Participants must come prepared for the heat and terrain with good shoes, a hat, sun cream and water bottle carrier. It will be a typical Club La Santa event where you have the chance to meet other athletes from all around the world. The main language spoken will be English.
