Fifty-eight miles south of Sicily, almost slap-bang in the middle of the blue Mediterranean, the Maltese archipelago comprises three inhabited islands, Malta, Gozo and Comino.

Although small in size the Maltese Islands are amazingly full of interesting sights and openly welcome you to discover their beauty.

Year after year the Land Rover Malta Marathon surprises all our North European competitors with its sunny, warm temperatures: the perfect excuse for pulling on those shorts and a running vest and taking part in a race you will not forget for a long time!

Participate in either the Malta 1/2 Marathon or the Malta Full Marathon, whichever you prefer and enjoy this historic and beautiful island on our running holiday package. What a great place for your marathon holiday!

Your marathon race entry includes a Land Rover Malta Marathon T-Shirt and an official race magazine (including route map), which will be given out at registration.

A commemorative Land Rover Malta Marathon medal will be presented to all competitors who finish the full marathon or the half marathon events.

The Full Marathon which starts at 0800 from outside the bastions of Malta’s old capital Mdina, heads through the main road of Rabat, down through Nigret and onto the Mtarfa by-pass to get to 6km mark in Ta’Qali. The route will take the athletes round Ta’ Qali, down to Attard, through Mosta, back to Attard, round Ta’ Qali again and back to where the 6km was, at this point it will be 27km. From the 27th km, the Marathon Route passes through Mdina Glass, out of Ta’ Qali and down again to Attard. However this time the route will continue past Attard and through the Mriehel bypass, Hamrun/Marsa bypass, Marsa, Blata L-Bajda, Sa’ Maison, Pieta, Msida, Ta’ Xbiex, Gzira and to the finish in Sliema

Cavalieri Hotel: 4 star

Welcome to the Cavalieri Hotel Malta!

This four star hotel is situated in a unique and quiet location on the fringes of the most sought after tourist area in Malta – St Julians, and sits very close to the Hilton Hotel. The Cavalieri is within easy walking distance from all the popular attractions in this well established resort area. Whilst directly on the water`s edge overlooking picturesque Balluta Bay and the Mediterranean Sea beyond, the hotel is also located on the doorstep of the Portomaso Yacht Marina, 300 metres to the Paceville nightlife area, 400 metres to the closest Casino and 200 metres to Spinola Bay – the heart of St Julians.

The seafront and beautiful promenade with its many bars, restaurants and shops as well as the main bus routes to Valletta, Sliema and to the Gozo ferry terminal, are all close by.
The Hotel Cavalieri is designed with stylish, large, light, open spaces, comfortable furnishings and an attractive decor. Most hotel rooms have full seaviews either facing Balluta Bay, St. Julians Bay or the Portomaso Yacht Marina and the sea beyond. Facilities include an extensive outdoor south facing pool deck on the water`s edge, restaurant, lounges and bars with open terraces to enjoy the beautiful views.
The Cavalieri is a non-smoking hotel.

Both Hotels are within easy walking distance from the Ferries in Sliema (the race finish).
