The 2013 New York Marathon will once again, be one of the World marathon highlights of the year.
Located right in the heart of Manhattan, a few minutes walk from Broadway and Times Square, the Travel Inn Hotel is our most popular hotel and provides very good value for anyone competing in the ING New York City Marathon.
It is also within easy walking distance of the New York Marathon Race Registration at the Jacob Javits Convention Centre, and the bus transfers to the start, it is easy to see why this hotel is also our base during our time in New York.
Plus the Travel Inn Hotel also has an outdoor swimming pool (rare in New York), but whatever the weather, New York Marathon runners even end up in there after the race soothing their weary leg muscles!

Also included in your full travel package are the services of the experienced Sports Tours International representatives, who will help guide you through the experience of taking part in the New York City Marathon. The team is on hand to help you and answer any questions you may have. Their help is PRICELESS! They will be meeting you at the airport; be there at the hotel to help with any questions; take you for a morning jog on Friday morning in Central Park; walk you down to the start of the Saturday 5k; and walk you to the official bus transfer at 42nd Street, which we left at 6am for the start in 2011. We're there to help you enjoy and make the most of your New York Marathon experience.

We operate transfers from JFK Airport to the hotel on Thursday 31st Oct and Friday 1st Nov for selected BA flights, and back to JFK from the hotel on Monday 4th, Tuesday 5th and Wednesday 6th Nov, again for selected flights only. You can find full details on our our flights page.
RACE ENTRY FEE: The New York marathon race entry is currently £299. This also includes your bus transfer to the start of the New York Marathon. This price is a special offer when you buy your travel package from Sports Tours International.

HOW TO BOOK

At time of booking we require a non-refundable deposit of £200 per person, plus the full Race Entry Fee, which is non-returnable once booked. The balance of your travel package must be paid, at the latest, 12 weeks before departure to avoid the cancellation of your trip.
Please note, lead in prices are shown on the basis of two people sharing a twin room. There is a supplement for a single room and there are reductions, where possible, for triple and quad rooms.
PASSPORTS - THIS IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.
Please note: we will require a copy of your passport along with your application form.
Please – don’t leave it to the last minute. The following information is for United Kingdom passport holders only, other nationals including Eire should consult the appropriate embassy. UK residents are allowed to enter the USA with a ten year passport, with no less than 6 months left before the expiry of the passport, if staying in the US for less than 90 days. However, the rules are constantly updated, so we advise that you check your own individual situation as the visa waiver programme is subject to strict criteria, and for example, if you have a criminal record or have previously been refused entry to the US, you may not qualify for entry under the Visa Waiver programme. Please check your status with the rules.
Passengers are no longer permitted to enter the USA with a non-machine readable passport unless their old style passport has a valid Visa stamp. The newer red passports are machine readable. CHILDREN MUST HAVE THEIR OWN PASSPORT - If in doubt please contact the passport advice line on 0300 222 0000, or Passport Office Website or if applicable the American Embassy on 0207 499 9000 or the US Embassy Website
IMMIGRATION TO THE USA
There are now very strict guidelines on entry to the USA and a new system put in place whereby you must have registered with the Department of Homeland Security at least three days before you travel. More information can be found on the Department’s Official Website
