There is no doubt the Marriott Marquis Hotel is one of the best hotels on Times Square. It is a first class luxury hotel with very high standards. The hotel itself is ideal for the ING New York City Marathon and we have used this hotel for many years and our runners are always very happy here. There's an amazing hustle and bustle surrounding this hotel and you can truly feel the spoirit of New York here. From this location, you can choose from hundreds of different restaurants, plus have lots of various options for entertainment at night.
All the rooms in the Marriott Marquis have luxurious ensuite bathrooms with hairdryers, air conditioning, minibar, iron and board, and safe. There are numerous excellent bars and restaurants in the hotel. Enjoy all this in a prime location overlooking the liveliest few acres on earth.

Also included in your full travel package are the services of the experienced Sports Tours International representatives, who will help guide you through the experience of taking part in the New York City Marathon. The team is on hand to help you and answer any questions you may have. Their help is PRICELESS! They will be meeting you at the airport; be there at the hotel to help with any questions; take you for a morning jog on Friday morning in Central Park; and walk you to the official bus transfer at 42nd Street, which we left at 6am for the start in 2011. We're there to help you enjoy and make the most of your New York Marathon experience.
Flights are operated by British Airways from London Heathrow. Flights from UK regional airports are also available. Please contact us for more details. We operate transfers from JFK Airport to the hotel on Thursday 31st Oct and Friday 1st Nov for selected BA flights, and back to JFK from the hotel on Monday 4th, Tuesday 5th and Wednesday 6th, again for selected flights only. If you wish to organise your own flights to New York, the Marriott Marquis is available as hotel only, with Race entry option.
RACE ENTRY FEE: The New York marathon race entry is currently £299. This also includes your bus transfer to the start of the New York Marathon. This price is a special offer when you buy your travel package from Sports Tours International.
HOW TO BOOK

At time of booking we require a non-refundable deposit of £200 per person, plus the full Race Entry Fee, which is non-returnable once booked. The balance of your travel package must be paid, at the latest, 12 weeks before departure to avoid the cancellation of your trip.
Please note, lead in prices are shown on the basis of two people sharing a twin room. There is a supplement for a single room.

PASSPORTS - THIS IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.
Please note: we will require a copy of your passport along with your application form.
Please – don’t leave it to the last minute. The following information is for United Kingdom passport holders only, other nationals including Eire should consult the appropriate embassy. UK residents are allowed to enter the USA with a ten year passport, with no less than 6 months left before the expiry of the passport, if staying in the US for less than 90 days. However, the rules are constantly updated, so we advise that you check your own individual situation as the visa waiver programme is subject to strict criteria, and for example, if you have a criminal record or have previously been refused entry to the US, you may not qualify for entry under the Visa Waiver programme. Please check your status with the rules.
Passengers are no longer permitted to enter the USA with a non-machine readable passport unless their old style passport has a valid Visa stamp. The newer red passports are machine readable. IMMIGRATION TO THE USA
