For those of you who have already arranged your flights to New York for the 2012 ING New York City Marathon Sports Tours International, an International Travel Partner of New York Road Runners, offers the opportunity to purchase Accommodation and 2012 New York Marathon Guaranteed Race Entry.

This is available at the Marriott Downtown, The Belvedere Hotel, the Paramount Hotel and the Marriott Marquis hotels. Rooms are available on as singles or as twin, although twin doubles (suitable for triples and quads) are available at the Paramount.

Marriott Downtown

Completely renovated the Downtown Marriott hotel in New York City, this is a good hotel for the start of the New York Marathon. Located just off Wall Street and Battery Park, the hotel boasts extremely comfortable and spacious guest rooms with modern furnishings as well as a gourmet coffee shop and luxurious bar. It's a short walk to a good choice of restaurants and not too far to Chinatown.

This Hotel is only a short walk from the Staten Island Ferry - our New York Marathon runners staying here will have passes to take the Staten Island Ferry and shuttle bus to the start of the race. This is the easiest and most scenic way to reach the start and in 2011 we left the hotel around 6am for the ferry.

For those staying at the Marriott Downtown, it's quite easy to get around Manhattan using the metro system, or to take buses if you prefer. Our experienced and knowledgeable Sports Tours International reps will be there to help and assist you, telling you how best to get to the start of the Saturday Morning 5k, plus will walk you down to the Staten Island Ferry on Sunday morning for the official bus transfer over to the race start. Just ask the guys any question about the New York marathon and they'll have the answer! We're there to help you enjoy and make the most of your New York Marathon experience.

Paramount Hotel

The Paramount Hotel is a fashionable boutique hotel centrally located half a block from Broadway on 46th Street, in the heart of bustling Times Square.

Completely renovated in 2009, The Paramount remains the consummate modern Times Square New York hotel, with easy access to the Broadway Theater District, Restaurant Row, upscale Madison and Fifth Avenue shopping, Penn Station, and the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. We are using Deluxe King Double rooms (with a single large bed) and Superior Double Double Rooms (with 2 beds) with mounted 32-inch flat-screen televisions, iHome docking stations rolling desks and original Philippe Starck sinks in all guestrooms and high-speed wireless Internet access. The rooms are larger than the standard room at the Paramount Hotel at approximately 220 square feet.

Marriott Marquis Hotel

There is no doubt the Marriott Marquis Hotel is of the best hotels on Times Square, a first class luxury hotel with very high standards. The hotel itself is ideal for the ING New York City Marathon and we have used this hotel for many years and our runners are always very happy here - it is not far from the expo centre for registration, plus the Official Buses to the start of the New York Marathon are only a short stroll away on 42nd Street on Sunday morning. All rooms have luxurious en-suite bathrooms with hairdryers, air conditioning, minibar, iron and board, and safe. There are numerous excellent bars and restaurants in the hotel. Enjoy all this in a prime location overlooking the liveliest few acres on earth.

Also included in your hotel package at the Marriott Marquis are the services of the experienced Sports Tours International representatives, who will help guide you through the experience of taking part in the New York City Marathon. The team is on hand to help you and answer any questions you may have. Their help is PRICELESS! They will be there at the hotel to help with any question, and if you are staying at the Marriott Marquis, we will take you for a morning jog on Friday morning in Central Park and walk you to the official bus transfer at 42nd Street, which we left at 6am for the start in 2011.

Belvedere Hotel

We have been using the Belvedere Hotel for many years and is exceptionally popular with our New York runners. The hotel is situated slightly north west of Times Square, so great for all the entertainment attractions in that area, plus close enough to the Expo centre for registration, and even a gentle stroll back to the hotel after the marathon itself.

Also included in your hotel package at the Belvedere Hotel are the services of the experienced Sports Tours International representatives, who will help guide you through the experience of taking part in the New York City Marathon. HOW TO BOOK

At time of booking we require a non-refundable deposit of £200 per person, plus the full Race Entry Fee, which is non-returnable once booked. The balance of your travel package must be paid, at the latest, 12 weeks before departure to avoid the cancellation of your trip.

Please note, lead in prices are shown on the basis of two people sharing a twin room. There is a supplement for a single room.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

PASSPORTS - THIS IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.

Please note: we will require a copy of your passport along with your application form.

Please – don’t leave it to the last minute. The following information is for United Kingdom passport holders only, other nationals including Eire should consult the appropriate embassy. UK residents are allowed to enter the USA with a ten year passport, with no less than 6 months left before the expiry of the passport, if staying in the US for less than 90 days. However, the rules are constantly updated, so we advise that you check your own individual situation as the visa waiver programme is subject to strict criteria, and for example, if you have a criminal record or have previously been refused entry to the US, you may not qualify for entry under the Visa Waiver programme. Please check your status with the rules.

Passengers are no longer permitted to enter the USA with a non-machine readable passport unless their old style passport has a valid Visa stamp. The newer red passports are machine readable.
