Every year Berlin comes up with some sensational performances and 2007 was no exception! At his fifth attempt Haile Gebrselassie finally succeeded in one of the objectives he set himself 5 years ago. He broke the world record in 2:04:26, taking 29 seconds off Paul Tergats 2:04:55 in 2003, ‘‘This was something special’‘ a highlight for all of the 40,215 runners passing through the Brandenburgh Gate and down the final 400 metres past the grandstands across the finish line.

TOUR DETAILS

The Hotel: Berlin Excelsior a 4-Star hotel in the heart of Berlin, ideally placed for both the start and the finish.
All rooms have en suite bathrooms and cable TV and the hotel has a bar and restaurant and serves buffet breakfast. The perfect base for this exciting event!

Friday 26th Sept: Depart on a flight to Berlin from UK

Saturday 27th Sept: Take part in the International Friendship Run, support or participate in the Inline Skate Marathon (Optional) or day free for sightseeing

Sunday 28th Sept: Marathon Race Day

Monday 29th Sept: Part day free for sightseeing, return flight to UK
