Pennington Flash 10k and Half Marathon

It was a resounding success for the inaugural Sports Tours International Run the Flash at the weekend with over 400 people taking part in the 10k and half marathon trail races.

The races, which took place on Sunday 3rd April at Leigh Sports Village, saw runners from across Lancashire race to raise money for charity or to set a new personal best.

Amongst the 10k runners was Lancashire’s marathon legend Ron Hill and Leigh MP Rt Hon Andy Burnham who was helping to raise money for The Christie.
