Liege Bastogne Liege Challenge and pro race 2016
The 2016 Liege Bastogne Liege cycling race will take place on Sunday April 24th. The LBL Challenge amateur cycling event will take place the day before.
Be a part of LBL's rich cycling history and join us for the 2016 Liege Bastogne Liege at the end of April in 2016. You have the opportunity to ride the amateur event on the Saturday with 273km, 156km and 75km distances available and we will guide you to the ebst vantage points to watch the LBL Pro race on the Sunday. Join us on this weekend travel package to the 2016 Liege Bastogne Liege sportive and pro race.
Liege Bastogne Liege is nicknamed 'La Doyenne as it is the oldest race out of the classics which is still taking place today.
Don't be fooled and think that Belgium is flat. This race takes in plenty of steep, hilly sections and makes for some dramatic racing.
Friday April 22nd
We'll have an afternoon sailing to Calais, arriving in for about Liege 20:00hrs. We will spend the next 3 nights on Half Board basis so with breakfast and evening meals included at our centrally located hotel in Liege namely the Ramada Plaza Liege.
On Sunday we will also provide you with a packed lunch as we may have limited time to stop for lunch.
For those of you who have bought an entry through us, we will hand out your race numbers for tomorrow's amateur event to you this evening.
There is a secure bike room in the hotel for you to store your bike and bike box or bag and for you to build your bike after transport.

If you want to come and join us in Belgium without taking the coach from the UK, we will also be running 2 transfers from the airport to our hotel in Liege. At 12.00 and at 19.00. Please advise us of your flight details at the time of booking and we will come and collect you from Brussels airport at the above times only. Alternatively make your own way to the Hotel Ramada Plaza.
Ramada Plaza Liege
The hotel is a beautifully converted 17th Century convent located in the historic city centre on the banks of the river La Meuse. This centrally located, 4-star hotel is less than a 15 minutes walk from the central station and shopping area. There is FREE WiFi internet access for all guests.

Saturday April 23rd - Liege Bastogne Liege Challenge
After an early breakfast, ride the short distance from the hotel to the start. There will be the option of taking part in either the 276km, 160km or 79km events. For those not riding the sportive the day will be at leisure in the city of Liege.
As the start and finish are so near it is easy to get to the start in the motning and back to the hotel straight after the finish.
After the Challenge, we will have dinner together at the hotel and our reps will brief you about tomorrow's Pro event.
Sunday April 24th - 2016 Liege Bastogne Liege
Our location in Liege is ideal for accessing the start area where you will be able to see the teams arrive, after which we take you to numerous points along the route to get as many sightings of the race as we can, including the steep hills of the Cote St Roch, Cote de Wanne, Cote de Wanneville, Cote de La Redoute and the finish in Ans.
Monday 27th April
After breakfast we return home, taking the 13.30hrs sailing to Dover, arriving London 16.00hrs, Birmingham 19.00hrs, Manchester 21.00hrs.
Our return transfer to Brussels airport will take place at 09:00 so please book return flights after 12:00.

At time of booking we require a non-refundable deposit per person, plus the full race entry fee, which is non-returnable once booked. The balance of your travel package must be paid, at the latest, 12 weeks before departure to avoid the cancellation of your trip.

Sports Travel - Keeping safe
Visas are not required to enter Belgium. You need a passport. As a British passport holder you may stay as a visitor for three months. General Travel Information is also available. All other non-UK passport holders must check their own country's entry requirements for France.
