After the success of our Alps Bike Week, Sports Tours International have pleasure in bringing you this new destination to the cycling portfolio. Following months of research into a suitable location for alternative warm weather, Winter training, we have introduced the Gran Canarian Road Bike holidays to ensure that you have continuous sunshine riding all year round.

Based at our partner bike centre in Playa del Ingles, this is the hub for all island cycling, with access to the mountain roads only minutes away.

Gran Canaria is a climber’s paradise with routes from 40km and 700m of climbing to round island routes of 200km and 4000m of climbing. Depending on the group preference, the average quotient of kilometres and altitudes can be adjusted accordingly.
Added to this you have surprisingly quiet roads, amazing landscapes, and great beaches to cool off in the afternoons. Indeed half the island is made up of parks, an area of which is a World Biosphere Reserve.

Your bike for the week will be a Cannondale Synapse (or 2009 equivalent) with either triple or compact gearing to ease you up the gradients.

Your hotel is the Tagoror Apart hotel only 2 mins from the beach and right across the road from the bike and outdoor centre. There is also an internet café, wifi and full range of cycling clothing and equipment at the centre.
