Deanna Soon and Jeffrey Adam hired bikes for the Tour of Flanders trip having flown in straight from Singapore - without any sleep (ouch). "Excellent value, would do the hire again, so much easier," Jeff told us.
Another happy hire cyclist, this time from Lancashire's Ribble Valley Cycling & Racing Club R. Lofthouse London N16: "Sports Tours saved my Paris-Roubaix challenge attempt by lending me one of their 'for hire' bikes, following a terminal problem with the frame of my own race bike.Initially I assumed it wouldn't fit right or would have some other niggle, but actually the sizing was worked out by a pro mechanic and exactly aped my normal ride. "We transferred my computer, saddle and pedals across, and the bike was perfect from beginning to end. In fact it was bloody fast and properly light too - you couldn't fault it.
On reflection, I cannot imagine going off to a foreign sportive and not seriously considering borrowing a bike from Sports Tours. It saves a momentous amount of transportation hassle and gets you straight to the start line. "Once you're done, the bike's gone and all the headaches of getting it home again. I never thought I'd say this! I also liked riding a new bike too - it was a brilliant way of sampling a different brand without any commitment to buy it. You just have to get your measurements sorted out before you fly, so don't forget to keep a tape measure around."
