Tour de France 2010
The 2010 Tour de France has been announced and it will be outstanding! Can Alberto Contador achieve back to back wins, after triumphing in the 2009 Tour.
With the start in Rotterdam, Holland, the route passes through Belgium, down through Eastern France into the Alps, tackling some major climbs including Morzine-Avoriaz, the Col de la Colombiere and the Col de la Madeleine. From the Alps, the Tour heads south across France into the Pyrenees to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Tour passing through this area. Whilst in the Alps, there are some classic climbs for the Yellow Jersey leadership to be fought over: Col du Portet d’Aspet, Col de Peyresourde, the Col d’Aspin, the Col d’Aubisque, Col de Marie-Blanque, Col du Soulor and two ascents of the Tourmalet, one form each side! The battle ground then moves to Bordeaux for the Final Time trial, with the now traditional finish on the Champs Elysee!

The 97th Tour de France has a a hint of the Classics and cobblestones, and will be made up of 1 prologue and 20 stages and covering a total distance of 3,600 kilometres, with 23 level 1, level 2 and highest level mountain passes.
We are expecting all the main protagonists to be there: Lance Armstrong, Alberto Contador, the brothers Schleck, Brad Wiggins, Cadel Evans, Thor Hushovd and Mark Cavendish, to name but a few.
And Sports Tours International will be there too, as we have for the last 20 years, to offer cycling fans the chance to follow the Tour from the start through to the finish.
Here is the official video highlights of the 2009 Tour de France.
As the only Official VIP Tour Operator to the Tour de France, based in Europe, we will be offering many different cycling holidays for this Tour, ranging from special Start Weekend trips, through to a complete three week trip riding the actual Tour route in advance of the race itself. We will also have our exclusive packages, with access to some of the inner secrets of the Tour, including the opportunity to ride in a car behind the riders on the Time Trial route, experience Corporate Hospitality on various stages and to ride the actual route of some of the stages of the TDF on the very same day as the riders.
