Few people know very much at all about what it is like to be someone with a learning disability. Therefore, the 1.5 million people with a learning disability in the UK are among the most excluded people in today’s society.

Mencap works with people with a learning disability to change laws and services, challenge prejudice and directly support thousands of people to live their lives as they choose. Mencap is the voice of learning disability.
